Auszug aus unserer SEO Webseiten-Checkliste

  • Make sure the keywords are grouped so that we have correct keywords on correct pages
  • You can have multiple keywords on one page IF it makes sense to do that (if you are unclear on best pages, ask Michael)
  • Once keywords are selected, add main keyword (highest search volume) to chosen page title, meta description and h1 tag.
  • Make sure the main keyword appears in the first paragraph of text.
  • Make sure the other keywords chosen for that page actually appear somewhere on the page (h2 / h3 tags could be a good idea although in the body text would be ok too).
  • Use your judgement on the note above, if there isnt much content, check the competitions ranking pages for those keywords in google.
  • Consider adding more / less keywords depending on keyword densities, one of each keyword is a good starting point. You may need to add more content if necessary.
  • Check Schema is in the source code, make sure it's local business schema and the NAP is consistent with GMB and website address.
  • Check Google for competing pages on the website, we don't want multiple pages on the same site having duplicate titles, meta descriptions or h1 tags. Ideally competing pages should be removed, but the alternative is to link from a competing page with the exact anchor text back to the target page
  • Link out to Privacy, Terms and sitemap from the footer of the website.
